Dori Familiant joined The DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC-Crystal City in 2009 as General Manager.
He has been in the hotel industry since 1982, previously holding positions as a management trainee with Hyatt at the 1200 Rooms Hyatt Regency New Orleans. He later held several positions in that hotel including Front Office Manager, Night Manager and Executive Housekeeper, In 1987, he moved to the Hyatt Regency Memphis where he was the room executive. After 18 months he moved to Hawaii and was one of 4 Rooms Executives that opened the Hyatt Waikoloa (now the Hilton Waikoloa). In 1989, Dori became the Rooms Executive at the Hyatt Long Beach, and, in 1990, he was on the takeover team that converted the Hilton Irvine into a Hyatt. After 3 ½ years at that property he joined the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale, a high-end resort, where he spent 5 years managing the Rooms division that included the SPA and recreation operations. In 1999, Dori became the GM of the Hyatt Regency Houston.
After 4 years in Houston he returned to Scottsdale where he operated his own company for several years prior to returning to the hotel industry and managing 2 resorts in Scottsdale. In 2007, Dori accepted a GM position at the Hilton in Irvine California, a Blackstone owned hotel and arrived at the Doubletree by Hilton in Crystal City in June 2009.
